Meet Jessica

What’s in a name?

I’ve been baking with my children for years. One rainy afternoon, we were baking Snickerdoodle cookies together. My daughter turned to me as we were enjoying fresh baked cookies and said, “Mom, you should open up a bakery and call it Swickerdoodles!” Here I am 11 years later, fulfilling a dream and bringing Swickerdoodles Cake Pops to life. Swickerdoodles Cake Pops is dedicated to my children and the hours upon hours of memories I have of them creating with me in the kitchen.

About Me

Growing up in Ocean City, MD, I worked in my parent’s boardwalk restaurant, where hospitality was our way of life. It was something that became so engrained in who I was, that I went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality and Tourism management from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

My early career in hospitality included front of the house as well culinary training from The Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, VA and the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, in Atlanta, GA.

While raising my children, I took a step back from an official career in the industry and have used my love of hospitality to plan and bake for events, celebrations, and bake sales for numerous volunteer organizations and churches.  I also enjoy planning memorable personal events for my family and friends.

I am thrilled to be jumping back into the Hospitality Industry as a small business owner.  I have a passion for making everyday moments a celebration, and I’m so excited to bring a little bit of JOY and FUN to you and your loved ones-one cake pop at a time.
